Sustainability — Light Without Loss
Each bamboo lamp spares ~15kg of hardwood — the weight of 18–20 carved planks. In hardwood crafting, that much is lost to 5kg sawing, 6kg shaping, and 4kg kiln-drying, every stage stripping away living trees and the silence they hold. A single lamp becomes the difference between cutting deep into centuries-old growth or letting it stand in dignity.
By choosing bamboo, you leave those planks uncut, keeping hollows where owls roost and branches where songbirds perch through the night. What would have been firewood becomes a sanctuary; what would have been lost becomes a lullaby carried on wings. The forest keeps its quiet guardians, their lives still folded in the branches.
That choice preserves ~12 square meters of forest cover and saves ~150 liters of water — enough to quench 30 owls for a day. A soft glow in your home echoes as safety in theirs, proof that every light can shine without taking another’s night.
From grove to gallery, every step is a quiet dialogue between nature and hand.
The Craft of Ori Bamboo Table Lamp
The Splitting — Bamboo into Strands
Stalks are cut into thin strips, softened so they bend with ease.
The Weaving — Light Shaped by Hand
Artisans interlace strips into a lattice that diffuses light like woven fabric.
The Shaping — Form with Soul
The frame is aligned and guided around the woven body, sculpting its final silhouette.
The Glow — Illumination Completed
Edges are polished, the bulb fitted — creating light that feels alive, not manufactured.
Every lamp is more than light — it is calm, glowing softly in your space.
